In my “Glass Canvas” series, I use a large, custom-built light table
to explore surreal imagery by sculpting ephemeral materials such as
toilet paper, shaving cream, and body wash. I like the idea that the
materials being used have no use as an archival medium and can
only be captured and preserved through photography.
